A pub and restaurant with rooms in the beautiful Yorkshire dales.
We are a family friendly free-house with real ales, great food and eight letting rooms, just on the outskirts of the village of Giggleswick, famous for it’s school and chapel & near the picturesque market town of Settle.
The Craven arms is the perfect base to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and The forest of Bowland. Within easy reach of Horton-in Ribblesdale, popular as the starting point for guests taking up The Three Peaks Challenge. Other popular activities include mountain biking, road bike touring, caving, climbing and paragliding.
Supported by two rail links, Giggleswick and Settle, featuring the world famous Settle to Carlisle line.
Dine in our spacious restaurant or cosy bar and enjoy locally sourced food from traditional British to more contemporary dishes, but always with a Yorkshire accent.
We always have a choice of craft beers from local breweries including Settle Brewery which produces many award winning ales.

What our Guests say....
This is our second visit to the Craven Arms, as always we were impressed by the friendliness of the host’s and bar staff (Izzy). The room’s are clean and tastefully decorated and very comfortable, and the food is excellent all home made and locally sourced. The views are spectacular with good walking in the surrounding hills and the beautiful market.Weekend break in the Dales.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a large group (touring cricket team). The Craven Arms went out of their way to accommodate us by setting up camp beds in usually twin rooms, catered for our 20 strong group dinner very well and then kept the bar open and tolerated our ‘music’ playing guitars in the bar until late.Excellent food, very helpful and friendly staff
I was staying here with my son for a couple of days’ walking. We received a warm welcome when we arrived after a 6 hour journey and quickly made use of the bar, with a very nice pint of Ribblehead. The room was good, 2 single beds a long way apart, ideal for a father and teenage son!Very pleasant place to stay
